As a flooring contractor in the mid-80’s, I learned to recognize which characteristics most outstanding sales representatives had in common. Notably, the ability to listen, a willingness to say “no”, expressed genuine interest in my business, was prompt to respond, and remained focused on the strengths of their own products and not the limitations of competitors were all common traits these distinguished sales representatives shared.

Following several years as a flooring contractor I made the decision to relocate to Chicago, where over the course of time, I would embark on a career as a representative for several major floorcovering manufacturers.  Having devoted nearly thirty years in Chicago as a manufacturer’s representative, I decided to return to my hometown of St. Louis.  Now, over 35 years have passed while working within the construction and design industry, and throughout these years I have had the tremendous fortune to collaborate with a group of remarkably creative and passionate individuals.  Years of engaging with designers, architects, general contractors, property managers, facility directors, purchasing agents, and flooring contractors has imparted a solid working understanding of the many aspects of the floorcovering and design industry.
